What’s Special About Victoria Falls ?
‘Jewel of the Zambezi – a World Wonder’
Africa has reason to be proud of its scenic treasure, a jewel of the Zambezi – the natural World Wonder – Victoria Falls.
First discovered by Dr David Livingstone, who said of it, ‘a scene so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight’, it is a breath-taking spectacle, and a belittling experience, standing beside 545 million litres of water per minute cascading into a vast chasm of 100 metres deep and spanning an area of 1.6km wide.
‘Exciting Activities, for the Romantic, and also for the Daring’
In season, guests can visit the Falls during the evening hours, when the moon is high and the Falls are a ghostly white spray in the moonlight.
Victoria Falls lends itself to a variety of once-in-a-lifetime safari activities, including various adrenaline sports – see Activities section for details! |
