What is an Explorer Safari ?

Explorer Safaris offer dome-style safari tents that can be moved from one location to the next without inconvenience to guests. The ability to move camp from area to area affords guests the best game viewing opportunities, the chance to see a variety of stunning bush-scapes, and the ability to get to those off-the-beaten-track places in parts of wildlife areas rarely visited.
FAS’s Explorer Safaris operate predominantly in Hwange National Park, because its the largest National Park in Zimbabwe - famed for its vast elephant population and abundant other wildlife species (including the ‘Big Five’, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant), but there are spectacular wildlife areas in other locations, and guests are welcome to visit one, or all of them on an Explorer Safari. If the area y ou wish to visit is not included in one of our set safari packages, guests may opt to customise safari packages to include specific activities of interest and safari locations of choice in Zimbabwe.
